Hanging Towel with added Flare

Easy Hanging Towel
With my sewing supplies in WI, while I was there I was determined to bring something back with me to Mexico  so I could sew,  (even though I know I have to hand sew.) I went through my sewing bin for all I need to make my Hanging Towel I don't have one on my stove here, I miss my towel not falling off when I'm cooking.

While digging I found a finished towel  that was already stamped.
My wonderful sister bought a stamp with my trademark.
Now I have the pattern, the towel (material), the fat-quarters, pins, needles, thread, scissors (forgot a thimble).  I'll heal.....

Hanging Towel with added Flare

Print off pattern, See below.
Select fabrics,
cut out the pattern pieces.
I cut both, the teapot and the tea cups for a later project.

I found this pattern during one of my mad Free Pattern online searches. The pattern is from  Free Patterns.  You have to join the site to get the free patterns.

Pin pattern pieces to Heat and Bond
Cut out pieces,
Iron Heat and Bond to fabric,
make sure you place the rough side of fabric is down.

Place teapot pieces right side up on center of towel
cover with sheet of paper,
Iron onto towel.

Begin stitching around each piece fabric,
I used the basic whip stitch, small and tight.

After each piece is sewn to towel
I drew lines diagonally down the teapot
for added flare.

Using the running stitch, I stitched down each line.
I love it!
Now I'm going to make a matching pot holder with the tea cups.

Thanks for stopping by.

Happy Sewing!
